Simon Peter, Gulu, Uganda.

“…In 2022 our group was supported with IGA seed capital of 1,250,000 (One Million Two hundred fifty) at the time we were taken through various trainings in agri-business, farming as business and other Income generating activities, the group at that time had started on VSLA and because of the Training we opted to start produce business alongside VSLA. Through our business our VSLA grew… the VSLAS was an important ingredient, it opened up access to larger amounts of credit through proper savings, as well as through loans: “I even started my own small piggery and Vegetable enterprises…, Iam able to save 20,000-40,000 on weekly basis, my two children now study with no difficulties in fees. Simon today attributes his success to the various livelihood intervention done by Acholi Child and Family Programme with support from Child Fund.”

Simon works tirelessly with his elder son to see their family through economic improvements every day
